E-Learning Fast Facts

The following is a partial list of customers that have contracted with Professional Mentoring to provide e-learning or other web-based systems.

  • American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging
    Washington DC

    The Professional Mentor Learning Network was developed to provide a more effective training system for the staff in long-term care facilities and help them maintain records of this training for state and national reporting requirements. Currently, the program is being used by facilities in 24 states and is available in CD-ROM and Web-delivered formats.

  • Kansas Farm Bureau Insurance
    Manhattan, Kansas

    This Web-based training system provides access to one-hour courses for over 300 agents throughout the state of Kansas. The system includes assessments, maintains records of completion, and provides certification documents for reporting to the state licensing commission.

    The Keys Learning Network program is currently delivered on CD-ROM and gives mental health centers an interactive tool for training the parents of children who have emotional disorders, behavioral disorders, or general lack of success in school.

    The Electronic Tax Workbook is now in its fifth year of implementation and includes a reference of current tax laws and training for recertification of licenses for over 2000 tax professionals annually.

    The Long-Term Care Learning Network is a parallel project to The Professional Mentor Learning Network in the United States and has been tailored to meet the training requirements for senior health care providers in the United Kingdom.

    Plantation, Florida

    The Diversity Skills Assessment is a Web-based system that provides users with a multi-faceted tool to measure the individual's diversity effectiveness. The system also includes an optional 360-degree peer evaluation system. Both the self-assessment and the optional peer evaluation provide feedback on six skill categories of diversity. A variety of system administrator functions and tools allows for cumulative score analysis for pre-established groups or departments and group and system-wide metrics. A second tool that focuses on gender issues has also been developed.

  • The MASTER Teacher
    Manhattan, Kansas

    The Paraeducator Learning Network Web-based system is being used by schools and districts in 38 states to assist in meeting state and federal training requirements for paraeducators. In addition to the training modules, the program includes comprehensive assessments for the evaluation of competencies related to their responsibilities in the classroom. The associated data systems maintain all records related to the training and assessments for analysis and reporting through the administrative tools.

    The MASTER Teacher e-commerce web site is a data-driven site that includes complete product information and an ordering system to allow customers the convenience of purchasing MASTER Teacher products online.

  • USDA-Soil and Water Conservation Society
    Ankeny, Iowa

    The Wind Erosion Prediction System (WEPS) Tutorial is a CD-ROM based program designed to train county extension agents on the use of WEPS. The program includes audio and animated sequences to assist in the understanding of wind erosion, its impact on agricultural operations, and how to use WEPS to accurately predict soil erosion in any area of the United States.

    Distance Learning Leadership Courses were developed initially in 1997, with Professional Mentoring supplying the content and delivery system for a graduate level and undergraduate level course in the Leadership Minor program at Kansas State University. These courses are offered during the fall, spring, and summer sessions and remain one of the most popular distance-learning courses in this program today for non-traditional students.

    The Gear Up Survey System project is an online system for the collection and evaluation of data from schools and districts that are participating in the Gear Up program sponsored by the United States Department of Education.
